Apple is preparing to announce new AI features for iOS 18 at next month’s Worldwide Developers Conference(WWDC) 2024. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that these new features will make everyday tasks even easier for iPhone users.
iOS 18 and Artificial Intelligence Integration
iOS 18 will be further integrated with AI, covering key apps such as Siri, Calendar, Voice Memos, Notifications and Photo Editing. With the new update, Siri will improve its voice capabilities to enable users to communicate more naturally and fluently and become more functional in daily life with its‘proactive intelligence‘ approach.
New Functions and User Experience
These include the ability to automatically summarize iPhone notifications, quickly summarize news articles, and convert voice memos to text. In addition, features such as calendar suggestions and app suggestions will be improved, making it easier for users to manage their time. There will be AI-based improvements in photo editing, but these will be different from the AI features that have been used in Adobe’s apps in recent months.
Gurman also talked about Apple’s next generation of Mac computers powered by M-series processors, but their AI capabilities are not yet clear.
