Apple continues to expand its ‘Search Ads’ system, launched several years ago, which allows developers to promote their applications on the App Store. The expansion to 21 new countries, including Turkey, demonstrates Apple’s commitment to increasing support for app developers in the global market. With these new additions, the number of countries served by Search Ads has reached 90.
What is Apple’s Advertising Platform: Search Ads?
Search Ads offers developers four different advertising options. These include direct ads that appear in the ‘Today’ tab before a user makes a search, ads at the top of search results, and ads appearing at the bottom of other app pages. These types of ads allow developers to effectively promote their applications in various sections of the App Store.
Apple states that Search Ads provides twice as much engagement as organic searches. This system operates on a cost-per-click (CPC) model, meaning developers pay only when their ads are clicked. This makes it an attractive option especially for developers who want to use their budget efficiently.
Developers in newly added countries including Turkey were previously able to register for international ads. However, this new expansion also increases advertising opportunities aimed at local markets. Local developers can now reach their customer bases more directly.
