The N brand, established by Hyundai in 2015, was a significant step towards the company’s goals of producing high-performance vehicles and enhancing competitiveness in the global market. The N brand was born in an R&D center located in Namyang, South Korea. This center is known as the main hub for Hyundai’s engineering efforts.

The Meaning of the ‘N’ in the i20 N Model Name

Significant tests were also conducted at the Nürburgring test track in Germany. The Nürburgring is known as a critical racing circuit and testing area for the automotive industry. The ‘N’ in the name i20 N is inspired by these two important locations; Namyang and Nürburgring.
