South Korean tech giant LG has signed a significant innovation in the smart television sector. The company has begun to show ads as soon as the screensaver is activated in some smart TV models. This emerges as a new method in digital advertising, and LG is taking a leading step in this area. When smart TVs are not in use, they switch to screensaver mode, and at this moment, LG starts showing both its own products and third-party ads with the screensaver. Users have to watch the ads that appear right after the screensaver activates.
LG Offers Users the Option to Disable Ads
Although some users criticize this new feature of LG, the company also offers an option to disable this feature if users do not want the ads. LG TV owners can go to the ‘Additional Settings’ option in their device settings menu and activate the ‘disable screensaver ads’ option. This will make it easy to get rid of unwanted ads.
