Google continues to take steps to improve user experience. The ‘Spotlight’ feature it will add to the Photos app will greatly simplify the process of creating short-form videos. According to the reviews done by Android Authority on the app’s codes, this feature, especially seems to be met with interest by social media users.
Automatic Trimming and Quick Effect Addition in Videos with Spotlight
The Spotlight feature will allow users to automatically select key moments from existing videos and add effects with a single touch. Thus, preparing videos for platforms like Instagram Reels or TikTok will become much faster and more effective. Specific presets provided will allow everyone to edit videos according to their own taste and needs.
This new tool is said to be similar to the already existing Video Spotlight feature in the app’s memories section. However, a significant difference of the new Spotlight will be offering customizable presets to users. Unfortunately, the exact settings of the feature are not yet clear.
For now, the Spotlight feature is in the testing phase and there is no definite information about when it will be available. If Google is not satisfied with the test results, there’s a possibility that this feature may never be released. Users are eagerly waiting for this innovative feature and hopefully, we will receive good news soon.
