Apple recently announced the iPhone 16 series, ushering in a new trend in the technology world. One of the most striking innovations of the series is a new button called ‘Camera Control’. This touch-sensitive button is positioned just below the power button and offers users various functions such as zooming while taking photos or videos, and changing camera settings. This feature is especially convenient for users who are keen on photography and video recording.
Apple’s innovation is also being closely watched by other smartphone manufacturers. The Chinese tech giant realme announced that it has developed its similar button. The company’s executive Chase Xu revealed this development to the public with a video shared on Weibo. The video shows a yet-to-be-named phone featuring a button with functions similar to those on the iPhone 16, but the release date and other technical details of this device are not yet known.
Nubia and OPPO Developing New Camera Features
In addition to realme, OPPO and Nubia are also working on a similar feature. Leaks suggest that the upcoming Find X8 series from OPPO will also feature a similar button. Nubia, on the other hand, plans to offer a ‘more realistic’ camera button on the Z70 Ultra model. This button will focus when half-pressed and shoot when fully pressed, providing two-stage functionality.
