The South Korean tech giant Samsung has taken another significant step in its own processor production. The company’s long-awaited 3nm processors, the Exynos W1000 series, have finally been unveiled to the public. These new chips will specifically be featured in the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatches. The Exynos W1000 was developed by Samsung Foundry using the second generation 3nm architecture, model SF3, and features a total of five cores including 1x Cortex-A78 and 4x Cortex-A55.

2.7 Times Faster Than the Old Model

This structure offers performance approximately 2.7 times faster than the previous generation Exynos W930 processors. The chip demonstrates a 3.4 times improvement in single-core performance and a 3.7 times increase in multi-core performance. The chip’s supported ARM’s Mali-G68 MP2 GPU provides excellent visuals on screens with a resolution of 640×640 pixels. It also highlights with up to 32GB of integrated storage space and ePOP technology for integrated RAM. Samsung has used new technologies to reduce the size of the chip and increase efficiency. Energy efficiency and heat dissipation are provided by the FOPLP system. The Exynos W1000 also offers a brighter and more detailed screen experience with the 2.5D Always on Display feature. Other features of the chip include; Bluetooth LE, LPDDR5 RAM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, and NFC. With these innovations, Samsung aims to initiate a new era in smartwatch technology.
