Tesla continues to lead the automotive sector with its innovative electric vehicle models. The company plans to introduce a new seven-seater variant of Model Y to the UK market in 2025. This model will be the first seven-seater Model Y offered by Tesla in the UK and will go on sale by the end of 2024.
The new variant will be approximately £2500 more expensive than the current top models of Model Y. The vehicle will be equipped with a third row that includes two additional seats, offering an attractive alternative particularly for large families or users needing more passenger capacity. Additionally, two USB-C ports located in the rear seats will allow passengers to charge their personal devices. With all seats in use, the Model Y will have a standard luggage space, which nearly doubles when the third-row seats are folded.
New Special Seven-Seater Model Y for the UK
Initially exclusive to the UK market, this seven-seater Model Y will be Tesla’s only model in the UK offering a seven-seat option. Tesla previously offered the seven-seater Model X SUV in the UK, but this model is no longer sold there. The new Model Y also stands out with its long-range and all-wheel drive features. With an approximate range of 600 km, this model also presents a strong option in terms of performance. Pricing will start at £54,490.
The Model Y has been a significant indicator of Tesla’s success in the global market, earning the title of the world’s best-selling car in 2023 both worldwide and in Europe. This success demonstrates that electric vehicles are increasingly becoming mainstream.
