YouTube is drawing attention with its latest innovation, continually taking steps to improve user experience. The platform has opted to replace the Dislike button on Shorts videos with a more functional Save button. This change allows users to easily add videos to their playlists while also altering the way they indicate content they do not like.

Dislike Button No Longer in Use

This new user interface, currently in the testing phase, is available only to certain mobile users. If a user dislikes a Shorts video, they now have to click on the three-dot menu in the video instead of directly pressing the Dislike button. This could reduce the use of the Dislike option and make it harder for users to provide negative feedback.

The Save button introduced by the new interface allows users to quickly add videos to their lists, which is particularly useful for users who want to watch videos again later or share them with friends. Additionally, the ease of sharing playlists facilitates social interaction and broadens the reach of content.

It is still unclear when this change will be available to all users or whether it will be permanent. However, YouTube will continue to conduct such trials, taking user feedback into account. How users will receive these changes and how they will affect the platform’s usage dynamics will be seen over time.
