Blizzard’s popular game Diablo IV has attracted intense interest since its release in 2023. The game’s popularity further increased with its addition to Game Pass. However, with the start of the new season, an interesting situation emerged among players. The new and powerful weapon added to the game, Umbracrux, caused some players to level up abnormally fast. So much so that some players could jump 30 levels after defeating a boss.
Blizzard Intervenes on Problematic Weapon Offering Temporary Solution
Blizzard quickly intervened and temporarily disabled the special power of Umbracrux while continuing to work on a permanent solution. Blizzard official Adam Fletcher stated that they are aware that players earn a significant amount of experience points with this weapon after defeating bosses. This issue was also heavily discussed on platforms like Reddit, and players shared their experiences. It was observed that a player carrying Umbracrux jumped 34 levels within seconds after a boss fight.
As soon as Blizzard became aware of the issue, they temporarily disabled the effects of this weapon to ensure players have a fair gaming experience. The company is continuing the process to permanently solve this issue and to reactivate the weapon. Blizzard will issue an update once the work is completed to reintroduce Umbraxus. The exact timeframe for the completion of this process is not yet clear, but a solution is expected soon.
