One of the eagerly awaited products of this year, Xiaomi Smart Band 9, will appear as the successor to the previous model, Smart Band 8. New leaks have revealed significant information about the device’s design and technical specifications.
Smart Band 9 will offer a brighter screen and a larger battery
Although the Smart Band 9 shows no major change in design, it maintains the current oval design and 1.62-inch screen size. However, the screen’s 60 Hz refresh rate and 1200 nit brightness level seem to significantly enhance the user experience. Especially in sunny weather, the screen’s readability will double.
There will be small changes in the dimensions of the device. The new model will be slightly more compact with dimensions of 46.23 x 21.63 x 10.95 mm. There will also be improvements in material quality; the use of an aluminum casing is expected, which will give the device a more stylish appearance.
The battery capacity will be increased to 233 mAh. It will offer a usage time of 9 days with the screen always on, and up to 21 days with the screen off. The SpO2 and heart rate sensors are expected to measure 10% more accurately, and Bluetooth 5.4 should provide a more stable connection.
However, there is no information yet about the price and release date of the device. It is eagerly anticipated when Xiaomi will make an announcement about this. The new Smart Band 9 seems like an ideal option especially for users who are sensitive about technology and health monitoring.
