Last week, the tech world was shaken by the CrowdStrike crisis. An update to the Falcon security software, which provides corporate-level protection, was faulty, causing blue screen errors on millions of Windows computers. This situation led to significant disruptions in critical sectors such as finance, aviation, and emergency services. Microsoft took action to resolve this chaos and developed a recovery tool that could be used on computers with Falcon software installed.
A Major Chaos Resolved with a Small 25 KB Tool
This new recovery tool is only 25 kilobytes (kb) in size and can be downloaded from Microsoft’s official website through this link. Users can load this tool on a USB stick and connect it to the problematic computers to run it. The tool automatically deletes the faulty Falcon files, allowing the computers to return to normal operation. Compatible with Safe Mode and WinPE methods, the tool simplifies and effectively carries out system repairs.
Additionally, in the news we provided last week about the CrowdStrike crisis, we mentioned that a moderator suggested a temporary solution. Microsoft’s new tool works with a similar method but automates the process. For more information about the crisis and to download the recovery tool, you can visit Microsoft’s website.
