Qualcomm’s strategy continues to launch ‘s’ versions of its processors, which are more affordable but slightly lower in features after the previous models. The latest example is Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, which was announced directly on the website without any promotional event by the company.
Features of Snapdragon 6s Gen 3
This new processor is offered to consumers in two different models, 4G and 5G, both built on the 6nm TMSC node. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 features two Cortex A78 cores that go up to 2.3 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores that can speed up to 2.0 GHz, showing an increase in core speeds compared to Qualcomm’s previous processors.
Featuring the Adreno 619 GPU for graphics, this chipset also comes with the FastConnect 6200 modem, and supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage solutions. However, the support for 1080p 60 FPS camera may be insufficient for some users.
In the upcoming period, we expect to see this processor in the Motorola G85 model, which will provide an opportunity to observe the performance of the processor.
