Apple, at the World Developers Conference (WWDC 2024) held earlier this month, introduced iOS 18 with significant updates. iOS 18 will meet with users in the fall and will include a series of innovations from customizing the home screen to an updated Photos app. However, Apple’s innovations will not stop there. The company has already started working on iOS 19 and other operating systems for next year before iOS 18 is released.
The Development Process for iOS 19 Officially Begins
According to a report by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple has officially started the development process for major operating system updates, including iOS 19. While iOS 19 has taken the codename ‘Luck’, macOS 16 is codenamed ‘Cheer’, watchOS 12 ‘Nepali’, and visionOS 3 ‘Discovery’. This early development process is indicative of Apple’s continuous forward-looking plans. The company is developing next year’s hardware as well as the software to start testing these devices.
Although it may be too early to provide detailed information about iOS 19 now, more information about the upcoming version is expected to emerge following the release of iOS 18. The process of continuously staying updated and leading with innovations is eagerly followed in the technology world.
