Apple frequently makes headlines with its innovations in the technology world. Recent claims have shown that the company is working on a foldable MacBook. Kuo mentioned that the likelihood of Apple working on a foldable iPad is low, indicating that the primary focus will be on the MacBook.

Work Underway on Foldable MacBook

Apple's Foldable MacBook May Arrive in 2027 or 2028

Previously, display industry analyst Ross Young and Haitong analyst Jeff Pu had claimed that Apple was working on a laptop with either a 20.2-inch or an 18.8-inch foldable screen. However, Kuo’s latest statements indicate that this large-screen design has been cancelled. Instead, there are strong indications that Apple is pursuing perfection in creating foldable devices.

LG Display is working on foldable display panels and is expected to start their production towards the end of 2025. This information further reinforces Apple’s interest in foldable devices. Moreover, these panels have the potential to be used in both MacBook and iPad models. How Apple will transform the user experience with this new foldable MacBook is a subject of curiosity. However, Apple’s pursuit of excellence could also influence the timing of these devices’ release.
