Google’s annual Google I/O 2024 event, which is highly anticipated by the technology world, started on May 14. The event was broadcast live at 20.00 Turkey time and the tech giant introduced new projects and updates. The star of the event was the Gemini artificial intelligence tool. Google CEO Sundar Pichai also announced that Android 15 Beta 2 will be available tomorrow.

Android 15 Beta 2 and What’s New

Historically, Android betas are usually released after Google Keynote, and this year looks set to be no different. With this new beta, the Android operating system will form a new foundation for the Gemini Nano. This will make it possible to use the features of AI tools running on devices in a mobile environment.

Android 15 Developer Preview

The developer preview of Android 15 was first introduced in February. This preview showed some interface changes, but no major innovations. However, with the new beta, Gemini apps and features introduced at Google I/O will be available on smartphones.

Last year Google only mentioned Android 14 once, but this year more information about Android 15 is expected at the two-part event. It was clear from the session that AI features will revolutionize Android 15. How well Google integrates these innovations will become clearer in the coming days.
