Schmidt stated that artificial intelligence has already reached an impressive level and that this technology can be used by everyone as a personal assistant. But according to Schmidt, the developments we are seeing now are just the beginning.
In particular, tech giants like the US and China are working hard to develop supercomputers that can use artificial intelligence technology as a weapon in the future. Schmidt predicts that these supercomputers will be deployed in strategically important locations such as nuclear power plants and protected by armies. In this context, he points out that artificial intelligence will play a central role in future military strategies.
While Turkey’s position in this global competition is not yet clear, it should not be forgotten that this situation is important for national security policies.
