This special offer gives players access to all expansions of World of Warcraft, allowing them to revisit old worlds and explore changes brought by new updates. Blizzard had published a preliminary update for The War Within on July 23, which contains many new contents from the expansion pack.
This strategy potentially aims to reactivate former players and increase interest until the official release of The War Within on August 22. The campaign is only valid for players whose subscriptions have ended and does not apply to WoW Classic. Although the first 20 levels of the game are always free, this campaign is only valid for former players who meet certain conditions.
Blizzard’s move is seen as a significant step towards reinforcing the long-term success of World of Warcraft and revitalizing its player base. Players will once again have the chance to return to the rich and diverse world of Azeroth.
