Microsoft, announced a significant performance enhancement for its Chromium-based web browser Edge. This update specifically targets older model computers and aims to provide users with a smoother internet experience. According to the company’s statement, these improvements are an extension of the work initiated in previous months. Thanks to Edge’s WebUI 2.0 integration, computers without SSDs and with less than 8 GB of RAM have seen performance increases of up to 76%. This situation makes Edge particularly ideal for older computers. The upcoming update will also integrate the browser’s settings section with WebUI 2.0, which will further enhance overall performance.
