Xbox is preparing to take a revolutionary step in the gaming world. The cloud-based gaming service Xbox Cloud Gaming, previously available only to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, will undergo significant expansion. According to Tom Warren from The Verge, Microsoft will enable users to play every game they purchase over the cloud with this innovation. This change will allow access to a broader library, not limited to just the subscription service.

Not All Games May Be Included

Xbox Cloud Gaming Expands: All Games in the Cloud

Microsoft has been working on developing this feature for a long time. Initially, this feature was to be introduced in 2020; however, due to some difficulties encountered during the infrastructure preparation, they had to postpone it. Now, they are about to reap the fruits of all these efforts. In November, Microsoft will start testing this feature with Xbox Insiders users. If the tests are successful, this feature will become active in the regions where Xbox Cloud Gaming is offered.

However, this expansion may not cover every game. Due to licensing and agreement issues, some games may not be included in the cloud service. It is still unclear which games will be affected by this.

This innovation will particularly ease the needs of users diversifying work and entertainment from home during the pandemic period. However, the fact that the Xbox Cloud Gaming service has not yet been offered in Turkey leaves Turkish gamers deprived of this innovation. Hopefully, Microsoft will activate this service in our country as soon as possible.
