Xiaomi officially introduced the SU7 Ultra model in China, bringing a new breath to the electric sports car segment. Initially presented as a prototype in July, this model stands out with its performance and design features.

Design and Aerodynamic Features

The SU7 Ultra attracts attention with its 1,500 horsepower engine capacity and its ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than two seconds. This impressive performance is, of course, reflected in the vehicle’s price. The SU7 Ultra is offered for sale in the Chinese market with a price tag of 814,900 yuan (approximately $114,200), positioning it as a strong alternative to the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.

In terms of design, the SU7 Ultra has a more sporty appearance compared to the standard SU7 model. Its expanded body structure, a rear spoiler 1.56 meters wide, and 21-inch Pirelli P Zero 5 tires enhance the vehicle’s aerodynamics. The active rear diffuser provides an additional 265 kilograms of downforce. Inside, Alcantara leather upholstery, carbon fiber details, and luxurious touches stand out.

Powertrain and Charging Capacity

The power transmission is provided by a CATL-produced Qilin 2.0 battery with a capacity of 93.7 kWh. This battery has a discharge capacity of 1,330 kW and can be charged from 10% to 80% in 11 minutes. The triple electric motor produces a total of 1,526 horsepower and 1,770 Nm of torque. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds, and to 200 km/h in 5.86 seconds. The maximum speed is set at 350 km/h.

Braking System and Road Handling Performance

The braking system is equipped with carbon ceramic discs measuring 430 mm x 40 mm at the front and 410 mm x 32 mm at the rear. Supported by Akebono calipers, this system allows the vehicle to come to a complete stop from 100 km/h in just 30.8 meters. The Asil-D torque vectoring system also enhances road handling performance.
