McAfee‘s cybersecurity team detected 13 malicious mobile applications that threatened Android users. Although these applications appeared to be beneficial, they actually contained harmful malware. These harmful applications were reported to Google and were immediately removed from the Google Play Store. However, users should be cautious and check if any of these applications were previously installed on their devices. It is important to remove any such applications immediately if found on your device.

While some of these applications have been downloaded more than 100,000 times, others are less popular and have only been downloaded hundreds of times.
