Microsoft’s plans to enter the mobile gaming sector are moving to a new level with the Xbox mobile game store. This long-awaited development has finally reached a tangible phase. Xbox executive Karl Perez announced to The Verge that testing processes for the browser-based mobile store have begun. This step strengthens Microsoft’s goal of providing easier access to mobile games.

According to Perez, the store is currently being tested only by Xbox Insiders users. This shows that Microsoft is applying a comprehensive testing process before offering its new venture to the general public. Although it is still unclear when the store will be opened to all users, these tests will significantly contribute to the store’s market launch.

Microsoft plans to expand its mobile game library by hosting popular games like Candy Crush and Minecraft. This store will provide Xbox users with an easy access platform to mobile games. We need to be a bit more patient to follow the developments and to access all the details when the store is launched.
